I saw this photo on Facebook recently. It definitely sums up the importance of PPE. Not only did these glasses save this guys eyesight, they probably also saved his eye.
People are often negligent about the importance of PPE. The cost for protective glasses, ear defenders, hard hats etc are such a small price to pay when you consider how your life could be affected without.
If your PPE is not fit for purpose - make your employer aware!
